Kvarken is the narrow passage between Finland and Sweden. Our archipelagos, 'Kvarken' and 'The High Coast', have been made World Natural Heritages by UNESCO. The landrise in the area is very rapid and the waters are shallow. In Kvarken, on the Finnish side, the archipelago is vast and the shallow bays offer perfect conditions for fishing and canoeing. Kvarken is also the home for healthy populations of sea- eagles and gray-seals.
The archipelago is beautiful in all seasons and we are now enjoying a green and warm summer...
